Stepped House

Rather than overcoming the topography, Casa Escalonada turns it into its organizing principle. Three stepped levels follow the terrain's natural slope: the upper houses the bedrooms with privileged views, the middle opens the social areas to nature, and the lower hosts the pool and recreation zones.
